Salisbury Market Place
Masterplan proposals for the re-ordering and landscaping of important historic social spaces in Salisbury city centre
The marketplace, and memorial square are adjacent and contiguous. The market place had declined in its appearance and become visually cluttered with fixed and temporary street furniture over time. These proposals where to re-organise and re-order the spaces, clearing out the unnecessary and unattractive and using landscaping and new public facilities to help define the space and to form a more sensitive connection with the buildings and routes around the space that form its historic setting.
