Working with Historic Buildings

Sometimes the joy in working with historic buildings is when people don’t notice the work you’ve actually done. Sensitivity and a careful eye for both design and materials is key to achieving this.

Looking perfectly at home within this historic walled garden is this barn conversion in the Test Valley built by Moulding The Builder. Careful consideration of the existing fabric and plan form allowed us to seamlessly rework the building to accommodate living spaces whilst remaining faithful to the historic character of the exterior and spaces within.
